Port of Entry is the island that transports guests from the world of the ordinary to the extraordinary. As they enter this island, guests pass beneath a stone archway with an inscription that reads “Let the Adventure Begin!” Acting as the main park entrance, this area features themed shops and a number of dining locations. It also houses Guest Services and locker and wheelchair rentals. Port of Entry is best known as the location of the Islands of Adventure icon, Pharos Lighthouse, and for its unique theming and architecture which seems to draw from Middle Eastern and Mediterranean styles. Though many guests rush through this area to get to the flashier attractions, the Port of Entry is a great location for grabbing some breakfast, taking a break during the hottest time of the day or shopping for last-minute souvenirs before leaving the park.
