VIVO Italian Kitchen – overview

VIVO Italian Kitchen is the Italian equivalent of Antojitos Authentic Mexican – freshly-made, authentic cuisine in a warm, inviting space. It’s hard to not fall in love with the experience (which may explain why so many locals swear by VIVO as the ultimate CityWalk venue).

Let’s start with the food itself. Expect to see familiar pasta dishes expertly done (one particular type of noodle is made from scratch each and every day, for example), but then also some intriguingly exotic offerings, as well (such as the Squid Ink Seafood, which is exactly what it sounds like – spaghetti served with seafood and covered in ink. It’s actually surprisingly good). And don’t skip out on the extras: the meatball appetizer is one of the most delicious items on the menu, while the Grandmother Cake comes directly from Universal Executive Chef Steven Jayson’s own grandmother.

And then there’s the bar, situated prominently at the front of the restaurant and stocked with a full barrage of wines and Italian-inspired cocktails. It’s the perfect spot for a quick bite and drink, and it makes for a wonderful dining experience all on its own.
